Quick and Easy thankyou notelets

I always like to keep a small supply of thank you notelets, they are just so useful and easy to make yourself.

Just fold an A4 sheet of paper in half and then in half again, then stamp a greeting and image onto the front.  I always slide a piece of scrap paper underneath the top paper layer so that when I am colouring in using Promakers the ink doesn't bleed through all the layers.

I used Penny Black stamps and a Personal Impressions sentiment -

My Month in Numbers - August

Oh dear - I'm not very good at this blogging lark just lately - I thought I had better quickly share my numbers for August before I forget them all LOL!!

If you don't know about My Month in Numbers then take a look at Julie Kirk's blog where she explains how to join in and share a snapshot of your month expressed in number form.

The most important number to share with you are the number of days till I get my next Marillion fix and that is now 51 days - November is getting close now!!!

Other numbers for August -

6 nights and 7 days spent at a Champney spa in Leicestershire these 5 lovely ladies

I had my annual album sort out and put away 73 layouts into 8 different themed albums

Celebrated my 49th birthday - got 24 cards, 6 of them hand crafted.

Made 2 layouts, 18 cards and 14 pairs of earrings

Julie also sets us a communal count challenge -

so my answers are 2 people reside here permanently, it was a quiet month for visitors, but on my birthday I had 4 visitors plus these 2 four legged friends

I am not a morning person, I go to bed very very late and usually miss a lot of the morning LOL but twice I got up at 06.30 - once for a very early chiropractor appointment and once the day we left for our spa break.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary Mum and Dad

Today it is my parent's Golden wedding anniversary.

I made them a album of the last 50 years but I will share that another day, this is the card that I made for them -

I used a Lili of the Valley stamp and a mixture of Sizzix and Cheery Lynn heart dies, the smaller hearts are a SU punch.  I cut the glittered 50 with Sizzix 'Round-a-bout' alpha dies.  The paper is K& Co and the gold cardstock by Bazill.

I stamped and coloured the image twice, then cut out one image and decoupaged it using pinflair gel.  A little bit of Bisque liquid pearls and Lavender Stickles added some nice accents.

I'm entering the card in Scrapology's August card challenge which was to make a card for a special milestone.

Oh So Cute

Very little scrapbooking is happening at the moment as I am up to my ears in cardmaking for my two autumn fundraisers.

But I did manage to go to my monthly scrap class run by the lovely Anita

Using Daisy D papers we made this lovely layout which had loads and loads of handcutting to it.

The bird cage was cut from white cardstock and I distressed it with Scattered Straw ink.

These are my sister and niece's two lovely dogs - no idea how they got them to sit nice and still like that as they are usually leaping all over the place LOL!!

Thank you Anita for another lovely class xxx
